Enough of the Misogynistic BS, Please
How Kamala Harris did NOT “sleep her way to the top.”
A lifelong, dear friend just remarked of Kamala Harris, “She slept her way to the top.”
My friend is clear that she is not interested in political subjects. In my opinion, she leads a comfortable and –shall we say –sheltered life.
But hey, I’m trying not to be judgmental.
She was repeating what she’d heard from her husband.
“How many men did she sleep with?” I asked. “Who are they?”
“I don’t know,” she said, “I’ll ask Steve. He has all the names.”
That never happened, and I didn’t press because I don’t want to ruin a meaningful friendship.
But it made me wonder.
When I was in college, I slept with a professor who offered me an A in the class he taught. I didn’t need and wasn’t interested in the class, but he was not unattractive, and he had a sailboat…and it was the sixties.
I was getting As and Bs in all my other subjects, so this A would not stand out as suspect.
In my entire career, I can’t see how it helped me “get to the top.”
